Announcement of the Ministry of Labor: Extension of the Digital Census of Working Time until 20.12.2022

An announcement was posted on the website of the Ministry of Labor (https://ypergasias.gov.gr/) with the title "The deadline for the digital inventory of working time in the PES "ERGANI II" is extended until December 20".

The announcement states verbatim the following:

"It is announced that the deadline for the completion of the digital inventory process of working hours, in the ERGANI II Information System, by all companies - employers in the private sector for all their employees with a contract, has been extended until Tuesday, December 20 at 12.00 midnight wage earner.

The digital inventory of working time is the previous stage for the full implementation of the Digital Work Card mechanism.

This extension is provided in order to give sufficient time to those companies that were not delisted and their accountants to proceed with the necessary actions. However, it is emphasized that no further extension will be granted.

It is noted that from November 1, when the system was opened, until Friday, November 25, registrations were made corresponding to approximately 500,000 workers, out of a total of 2,410,134. Until the evening of Tuesday, November 29 - one day before the expiration of the initial deadline - the registrations corresponded to to 974,000 workers. Until 6.00 p.m. today there were registrations for 1,346,205 workers (55.8%% of the total). Accordingly, until 6.00 p.m. today, out of a total of approximately 289,334 businesses, 195,967 businesses were registered (percentage of 67%).

These figures show that the vast majority of businesses have registered - which proves that a lot of small businesses have registered - but also the majority of workers. And most registrations have been made in the last five days, while the system has been open since Tuesday, November 1st.

Based on the registrations that have been made so far, it becomes clear that the 20-day extension given for the completion of the process is more than enough time to make the corresponding registrations for the companies and employees who are part of "TOOL II".

The new upgraded "ERGANI II" Information System is a step forward for everyone. For the State that has a more complete picture of the labor market. For workers who can defend their rights more effectively. But also for businesses and their accountants as "ERGANI II" will be a system with much less bureaucratic burden.
So we are all called to support this change which has a strong color of transparency and progress".
